Random Pictures

Reegan copies EVERYTHING Mitch does. When Mitch uses the computer he normally puts a pillow under the computer. The after Christmas we went and looked around at some stores, and came across a kid computer. Reegan saw Mitch on the computer, took off to his bedroom and got his own pillow and went to work next to Mitch. (Dont mind the laundry on the couch behind Reegan, I am only do so much at once! :) )

Reegan loves it when Mitch has a day off of work and can play with him. They were building a tower with his new lego's, and Reegan was so excited at how tall it was!
Aunt Holly & Uncle Matt gave Reegan a Semi that hauls trucks. He LOVES it and drives that thing all over, all day long. As you can tell, he could not wait to get his jammies either all the way on or all the way off, before he started to play!
Reegan got a basketball hoop from Grandma and Grandpa Taylor. He loves it and just plays all day! Again, dont mind the almost naked boy, some days its not worth the fight to get dressed fully before playing!
FINALLY!! We moved Reegan out of his crib about 6 weeks ago. I LOVED him in the crib because he would go to sleep with out any problems and sleep all night. Since we put the full size bed up, he has always just wanted to sleep on the floor and makes Mitch sleep on the bed every night. (Mitch is grateful that he gets the bed, but I dont need to have a 6 year old that only sleeps on the floor, so I made Mitch give the bed up!) This is the first night that he actually started in the bed and stayed in the bed. We are making progress.... Of course, he has Dena right by his side!

"my little chair..."

This past week Mitch and I started going through some baby stuff to get everything ready. I pulled out the bouncy chair thing to get it all washed up and ready for #2, and Reegan found it in the baby room last night. He came out of the room carrying the chair saying, "Ooooh my little chair". I tried to explain to him that it was for a baby, but he kept trying to sit his cute little butt in the chair. So I told him that the chair was for Dena, the famous white teddy bear. So for about 2 hours last night, we had to put Dena in and out of the chair and make sure she was "seat belted" in..... He was very upset if she was not seat belted. I have a feeling we may need 2 bouncy chairs when we finally have our new addition. Reegan will probably still assume that the first chair is for DENA only....

Christmas

Well we had a great Christmas. We were busy as normal for the holidays, but we enjoyed it. We were wishing we had four wheel drive because of all the snow, but my little car impressed Mitch and we were able to get every where we needed.

Reegan is a little confused when it comes to moving the snow. He loves to go out there while Mitch is shoveling or using the snow blower, but he usually wants to use the rack to help out, or play on his bike. He is going to be a summer kid, I can already tell!!

Time for an update

Well as you can tell, we have not been able to upload pictures lately onto our blog. Our personal computer crashed, and has been shipped off to Rob in Seattle, to see if there is any hope left for it. Rob is the computer guru in the family so we are hoping he work some magic! So we have been borrowing a computer from Mitch's work until we figure out what we will do so I am limited to what I can do on the work computer.

But things are going great for us. We are currently making banana bread for the neighbors and our house is smelly pretty good! I would like to eat them all, and I just keep telling myself that pregnant women can eat whatever they want and not to feel quilty about it. However, I just do not think that is the right attitude!

Reegan is growing like a weed. We had a great Thanksgiving a few weeks ago, and were able to spend time with both my side and Mitch's side of the family. Its makes for along day, but it was great to see everyone. We have our christmas tree up, and have been lucky that Reegan leaves it alone. Last year we had a tree with decorations from about halfway up, however this year Reegan just loves to look at the decorations. He is a character, and wants to be the one to turn the lights on in the morning and off when he goes to bed. If someone else beats him to it, its just all downhill from there. I think you could say we have a little "OCD" in that little boy.

Name suggestions..

Mitch and I struggle to agree on names. I know that most people have names that they like but do not plan on telling anyone so they do not get "stolen", but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions they would like to share.

Daddy's boy...

Reegan and I have to go to bank at least 3 times a week for work. The bank employees know that Reegan loves smarties, and they always give him one. Yesterday as Reegan I were in the drive-thru, and the lady returned our receipt and a smartie for Reegan, and he said, "NO, I want french fries". Now if we could only convince Zions Bank to pass out lunch items he would be hapy.

Also,
Mitch went to Salmon with his father fishing last Friday. He left early in the morning before Reegan had gotten up. When Reegan found his dads shoes that he normally wears to work, and Reegan thought that world had ended. He brought me Mitch's shoes, and was crying and saying, "my daddy's shoes....... ooooh no, my daddy's shoes". He was so worried that Mitch was gone and didn't have his shoes on. It was so cute that he was that upset and worried about Mitch.

Reegan is a daddy's boy, 100%! I can't complain because its nice to have him attack someone besides me all day.

20 Week Ultrasound

I went and had my 20 week ultrasound last week and we are happy to announce that it is a GIRL!! We are excited, but it will be interesting to see how Reegan reacts.

"oooooooooh cold momma!!! ... "

Last night after working at the house for a few hours, we headed home. I didn't notice at the wipes from the diaper bag had fallen out of the bag and onto the seat. Well now that its a little colder at night, the wipes were extremely cold this morning, and had a little frost on them.

Reegan and I had to run out to the house this morning before work and meet the carpet guys and of course, Reegan had to fill his diaper. I went and grabbed the diaper bag and realized that the wipes were on the seat instead of the bag. My poor little boy... I had to scrap the frost off the wipes and tried to warm them up in front of the heater vent in the house, but it was a COLD diaper change. As I was wiping his butt checks, he said, "oooooh, cold momma!!!" That was the fastest diaper change we have ever had. Reegan just stayed put and didn't even dare move for the fear of having to go through it again...... I guess the lesson of this story is to store some extra wipes at the house so we dont have to go through that again!

He is a tropper though! :)

Just like his Aunt Lindsay!!

Last night we had been out to the house finishing up a few odds and ends and thought we would just hurry and get something to eat on our way home. We ordered Reegan a kids meal with corndog things and french fries. However, the only thing he would eat was the ketchup off the fries and he put a TON of it on his plate so he had alot to clean off. He was seriously licking them clean!! I have never seen anyone do that and was close to losing my own dinner at that point. I guess he has learned a few things from his Aunt Linsday....

1- She will always hand him candy
2 - Ketchup is its own food group! :)

PS: The Ketchup was probably the only healthy item that came in his dinner so it could have been worse. He also ate a bowl of oatmeal when we got home.

STUPID CAR

We had to take my car into the dealer because it was making a strange noise and we needed to get it fixed before my warranty is gone. So today I am driving Mitch's car. And to be honest, I hate to drive Mitch's car, always have, always will....

As Reegan I get loaded up and on our way to aunt's Kerstin's house, who had volunteered to watch Reegan this morning, when the low fuel light came on. I decided to pull over and get some gas ASAP, because who knows how long Mitch had been driving with the light on. I get to the gas station, take the key out, and put some gasoline into the car. I get back into the car, start the car, and then it dies. This continues for a several minutes BEFORE I call Mitch to tell him the bad news. When Mitch showed up, he noticed that for the few seconds that the car was running that it would have a security light on. So we pulled out the manual, and apparently you are only able to use the keys that are original to the car. (I had used Mitch's key when we left the aparmtent, and after I got gas, I put my key into the ignition without knowing it.) So Reegan and I spend about 45 minutes at the truck stop watching the trucks, and Reegan asking to "get out" but thankfully its just a key issue, I hate having car issues!

PS: I HATE MITCH'S CAR!!

Its time to share...

FIRST, I need to tell SEVERAL people sorry for lying to them over the past several months. But I felt that I needed to tell some family members first. Grandpma's to be, tend to get a little testy if they hear important news from others! But I guess the wait is over, and will finally announce that we will be having baby #2, March 20th.

He watches everything you do!

Reegan has been by our side for the last 3 months, as we have been working on the house. He now insists on putting screws and nails in his cargo pockets on his pants, because that is what his dad does. He always wants the screwdrivers, drills, hammers, tape measures, and even pretends to use the saw when he gets a chance. Well saturday we were getting ready for the painters to come on Monday and decided that we needed to clean up the garage. We were working away and I realized that Reegan was being quiet, and as always thought the worse. He had found some nails, put them in his pocket, grabbed a hammer and went to work. He had managed to get the nails hammered in the cut lines in the garage floor. As you can tell he takes it pretty serious.

Goats = Puppy

Last night Mitch and I took Reegan to the Blackfoot Fair. Last year he LOVED seeing all the animals and people and he was only a year old. This year was just as fun. He loved to see the animals. My poor kid, he seems to think that goats are puppies!! We went into the barn that has the goats and he just got so excited and yelled, "puppies" over and over again!! He loved the goats when they would stick their heads out of the gates and sniff him. It was a great family event and we are excited for next year. Reegan also called the roosters and chickens all ducks, so we have some work to do!!

Reegan's Toe

Yesterday while we were at work, Reegan dropped a piece of shelf onto his big toe. I had been working on the computer and looked up when he was screaming and he was grabbing his toe and had blood gushing out between his fingers. For anyone who knows me, knows how much I handle that stuff, so I ran over with the bag of wipes, and started to do my best. I called my sister Jessica (who is like my 911 call) and she was on her way. Her son had done a very similar thing a few months ago and I knew she would know what to do for sure. We took Reegan to Community Care, and had to have an X-ray, a numbing shot and stiches. Reegan has busted his toe nail off in the base and its a good thing that we went in, because it is normally for the infection to get out of control when that is the case. It was a long day, but we are finally functioning today. The doctor that stiched Reegan up, put a pink wrap on his foot and sent us home with a purple wrap for the next few days..... DOESN'T HE KNOW THAT REEGAN IS A BOY!! :)

How we have spent our summer

Summer is over.... but it doesn't even seem like we have had a summer. We have spent most of our time working to get into our house by winter. I have had alot of people ask for pictures so here are a few.

Long Day

Mitch and I took off to Jackpot Sunday for the Trace Adkins concert. My in-laws were able to get great tickets, so we took off at noon, drove to Jackpot, played a little blackjack, went to the concert and headed home.... Talk about a LONG day. But we had a great time at the concert and a nice out of our normal routine!

Un-offical winner!

Reegan was told today at the bank, that he was the "un-offical" winner of the cutest kid in the drive thru window. We have to go to the bank almost every day, and he always wants the window down so he can wave and smile at the bank employees. He knows he is going to get smarties, so I am guessing that is why he is so perfect for them. I told the lady today that I agree, and think he is the cutest kid also! So we have a WINNER!

Since I had Reegan, I have worked part time for my parents here in Idaho Falls. I take Reegan with me, and since he was a new born we have graduated from the pack n' play, to a few cars, to now its like the office is a daycare instead of a storage unit office. But over the past 2 years, Reegan has won the hearts of several of our customers. We have a few couples that always come in just to say hello to him, or bring a little gift. Today one of our favorite customers brought Reegan an old antique Radio Flyer bike, with training wheels. The guy and his wife moved here from California and he is retired, but his wife works for the site, so they dont have any grandkids around here to spoil, so he has adopted Reegan. Reegan loves to get on the new bike, but hasn't matered the petals and its to big for him to just push with his feet, but he loves it.

The house is on the way. We had the plumbing and heating started at the end of last week and will have the electrical rough in all done next Tuesday. We are flying right along, and have our fingers crossed for being moved in the first part of October! :)

Random Birthday Pictures

Dallas was a big help opening the presents. He wanted to open them the minute he got to my parents house. He was a big helper! Reegan and Dallas look like they could be brothers, they are both so cute!

Grandma Glenda gave Reegan a frisbee sort of thing, and Reegan was having a great time trying to toss it over the car. He only managed to get it straight in the air or behind him.

Reegan spent most of the day today mowing the apartment carpet. He thought that was the best thing ever. It even makes the lawn mower sounds. (It came with bubbles but I am a mean mom and hide those the second we opened the box.)
Reegan and Mason are only 9 months apart. They are both pretty opinionated about things, but this was one of the peaceful moments between them. They were trying to escape down the drive-way without anyone seeing. Reegan on his bike, Mason with the baby stroller.

Happy Birthday!!

Reegan has turned 2!
We celebrated his birthday with some cake and icecream at my parents house. (since we are in an apartment we would have had to take shifts to have everyone come over! :) )

Reegan was so excited for his new bike that we gave him and was spoiled by everyone in our family. He rode his bike all morning at the office today. What a kid!! I can not believe that he is 2, where has the time gone?

Making progress..

We have began the construction of on our home. We got the basement load bearing walls done last Wednesday night and will begin the floor next week. (we have been put on hold until the construction of the storage units are done. And after a long day Saturday the boys got most of the shed stuff finished, so hopefully we can get more done next week.)

I need to say thanks to my big brothers who helped us out.

I know that one of the pictures is dark, but I really liked the sunset....

I wanna be a cool kid!

This is what I found when I got out of the shower this morning... isn't he cute!

TROUBLE AHEAD!

This is Reegan and his cousin Madison. They are only 3 months apart and look
like they could be brother and sister. They are so cute together and love to play, with very limited fighting. I happened to find them jumping on the bed a while back and
thought the pictures were to cute not to share.

Baby Blues

This kid has the best eyes and eyelashes....
With my luck, when (or if) we have a girl, she will never get lashes like this!!

My best friend Dena

Reegan has loved this teddy bear since the day he was born. Her name is Dena. Reegan always kisses her, gives her food, shares his ninnie and now his sippy cups. I caught him yesterday morning sharing his sippy cup with Dena, and grabbed the camera just in time to get the picture taken. He then grabbed Dena and held her up for the picture with a big cheesy smile!

We also have a Jerry animal, who is a giraffe. He loves his stuffed animals!

WATERMELON

LOVING HIS WATERMELON

Reegan loves his watermelon. As you can tell he ate every bite we gave him, and then decided he would try and lick the bottom to make sure he didn't miss anything. If Reegan has watermelon we have to strip him down to his diaper! He makes such a mess.

Changes

CHANGES 1
Well today was the big deal. We signed on our house and I was able to go over and take a few last pictures of our backyard. It is starting to all bloom and is so green and pretty right now. I am going to miss the yard the most. So we are now considering ourselves to be "homeless".

I LOVE OUR LILAC BUSHES....

CHANGE 2

Also, I think its about time for Reegan to give up his "ninny".

(Most people refer to them as a plug.) I put Reegan down for a nap today and gave him his "ninny" as we always do (he only gets it at nap time and bed time) and he put it in his mouth and then he gave it to me, saying "no no". I thought, "WHAT THE HECK!!! IS HE GOING TO GIVE IT UP WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!" Well I started to inspect it thinking we had won the fight and he was not going to want it any more, but apparently not. It is so worn out, that it has a big hole in it. These plugs are from the ICU when Reegan was born, so we only had a few so we have held on to them as if they were gold. Reegan will not take a regular plug, and the hospital will only sell them to employees. Lucky we had a family friend who was a nurse, who helped us out and got us a few extra. However, I think its about time we part ways..... When you can use the plug as a pen holder something just isn't right! I guess its time to start the next fight. Hopefully our backup ninny will last until Reegan is familiar with the move into the apartment. (I put the pen through the "ninny" to show everyone the hole. When I took a picture of the "ninny" without it, it was hard to see the damage.)

MOVING

Well we finally sold our house, and are off going to sign the final papers tomorrow. We finally listed our house with an agent and had it sold in 2 days. What a crazy few weeks we have had since we accepted the offer. We are now moved into a 2 bedroom apartment and are working on all of the odds and ends so we can start to build in a few weeks. We are excited but very overwelmed.

The apartment life is very different from what Reegan is used to. He loves to be outside most of the afternoon after his much needed nap, but here at the apartment the lawn is used as a poop factory for everyone's dogs, so I do not allow Reegan out to play there. The last thing I need is a 2 year old getting in the middle of that! (I was complaining to Mitch about the poop and told him that I should start leaving Reegan's diapers out there and see how they feel about that.) So we will be making several trips to the green belt, Freeman Park, and to anyone's house with a yard that will take us!
We are going to miss our little house, but we are excited for the next adventure.

Welcome!

Well I have finally decided to stop being a silent blog reader and actually join the world and have one our own. I hope that we will be able to keep it updated and will help us keep in touch with all our family and friends!!
